Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini's THE EXTRA MAN is a well-crafted and heartfelt comedy. Paul Dano plays Louis Ives, a lonesome dreamer who imagines himself to be the hero of an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel in THE EXTRA MAN New York City becomes Louis' new home after an unfortunate accident forces him to quit his employment at a prestigious Princeton preparatory school. He lands a 9-to-5 job at an environmental magazine, where he meets enticing coworker Mary, who is all about being green (Katie Holmes).
