Kentaro Saeki (Haruma Miura) is a young guy who repeatedly fails his legal exam and is at a loss for what to do. Keiko, his elder sister, is an independent writer. Kentaro and Keiko began their search for information on their grandfather Kyuzo Miyabe (Junichi Okada), who was killed in World War II while serving in the special forces. Kyuzo Miyabe, their grandfather, was scared of death and consumed by life. Why did he decide to become a member of the special forces? Kyuzo Miyabe was both a prodigy and a coward, according to his fellow navy soldiers. Kentaro and Keiko then unearth the horrifying truth that has been kept hidden for 60 years.
