Charlie, a roaming hobo, joins the circus and falls for the owner's daughter. The girl falls for an attractive young actor, unaware of Charlie's feelings. Charlie's flexibility shines when he fills in for an injured tightwire walker. He's fired from the company for saving the girl from her abusive father, but he returns to ask the attractive performer to marry her. And then their father forces them back into the circus.
