Thomas is 16 years old today.. They recently relocated to New South Wales, his father is in the military, and his mother is pregnant. Charlie, Charlie's autistic brother, has his own adolescent sexual troubles. With the introduction of Jackie, the girl in Thomas's swim class, Charlie offers a series if problems for Thomas, including a visit to their house, a walk, and even a family birthday supper. The question is whether or not Thomas can find a way to enter the teen romance world while still being Charlie's protector.
