In 1817, in an isolated log cabin in the harsh Indiana wilderness, love, tragedy, and the daily hardships of life on the developing frontier shaped Abraham Lincoln into one of our country's greatest heroes. Abe is a thoughtful, quiet boy who spends his days with his loving mother and learning from his strict father how to work the land. When Abe's mother dies from illness, his new stepmother becomes his new guardian angel. She sees the boy's potential and pushes for him to go to school.
