Suspicion
Lina McLaidlaw, who is wealthy and protected, gets swept off her feet by attractive ne'er-do-well Johnnie Aysgarth. Lina marries Johnnie despite being told that he is nothing more than a fortune digger, and she remains faithful to her irresponsible husband as he ploughs his way through one shady business venture after another. Lina gradually realizes that Johnnie is planning to kill her in order to claim her inheritance. When Johnnie's business colleague dies mysteriously, the suspicion appears to be verified.
