Stalingrad
Drama set in1942, during one of the war's pivotal battles, which halted the advance of Nazi forces and shifted the war's tide in favor of the Allies. The Soviet army launches a counter-offensive against the Nazi forces occupying half of Stalingrad on the other side of the Volga, but the crossing attempt fails. A few troops who survive make their way to a house on the Volga's bank. They discover a girl who did not flee when the Germans arrived. While the German army's whole strength descends upon them, the heroes of Stalingrad experience love, loss, joy, and the sense of ultimate freedom that only those preparing to die can feel. They will go to any length to defend the house while the Red Army prepares for another attack.
