Sometimes a Great Notion

Hank Stamper and his father, Henry, own and run the family business in Oregon, cutting and shipping logs. The town is furious when they continue to work despite the fact that the town is bankrupt, and the other loggers go on strike, ordering the Stampers to stop, but Hank insists on cutting more trees. Hank's wife wishes he'd stop and wishes they could spend more time together. More trouble arises when Hank's half brother Leland arrives to work for them.
