The little plane was a success. Even though Tinny aspires to be a hero, he does not receive much attention from his buddy squad of inveterate planes. Captain Ben had forbidden him from going out to save people from fires, but he goes out to save people and his life is in danger; the captain manages to save him by risking his own. Tinny leaves the team and begins working at mine as a result of her sadness, remorse, and fear of failing. He is terrified at first, but the raging fire prompts him to recall memories from his youth, and he goes to the assistance of his pals.
