Selena
Born in Texas to an ethnically mixed Mexican-American family, this biographical drama depicts the life of Selena Quintanilla as she grows up. As soon as Abraham notices his daughter's talent, he gets her on stage alongside him in a small club. She achieves fame and fortune, but her father is furious when she falls in love with Chris Perez, her guitarist. Selena began recording an English-language album, which tragically she would never finish, in her quest for popular stardom.
