Save the Cinema

Save The Cinema is based on the true tale of Liz Evans, a hairdresser and youth theatre leader in Carmarthen, Wales, who launched a campaign in 1993 to prevent the closing of the Lyric theater. Together with the then-Mayor of Carmarthen, Richard Goodridge (the film switches this role to a local councillor), they enlisted the aid of Steven Spielberg in order to secure a special premiere of Jurassic Park.
