Samurai II: Duel at Ichijoji Temple

Takezo has been on the road for a long time, making his name as Japan's best fencer. He comes back to Kyoto. Even though he came to challenge the head of the best fencing school in the region, he isn't there for her. Otsu waits for him. In order to show that he is brave and skilled, he deliberately walks into ambushes set up by people who follow the school. As Otsu waits, Akemi also seeks him out, telling him what she wants. There's also Sasaki Kojiro, a talented young fighter who believes he can take over Takezo. Afterward, Takezo says he loves Otsu, but he does so in a way that disrespects her and makes him feel bad. Once again, he leaves.
