Run Boy Run
Run Kid Run is based on the true story of Jurek, an eight-year-old boy who flees the Warsaw ghetto, survives in the woods, and works as a farmhand while pretending to be a Polish orphan. He meets people who will betray him for a price, who will beat him up or try to kill him, as well as those who will go to great lengths and risk their lives to assist him. When Jurek is paralyzed in an accident, his fortitude is pushed to the greatest test, making it difficult for him to find job. Despite all odds, he perseveres. The Russians eventually arrive in his area, and Jurek is able to stay with a family. Yet he is betrayed once more, as a young guy from a Jewish orphanage tries to persuade Jurek to return to his people and faith.
