Norah, a cosmopolitan woman who had been in a committed relationship for a significant amount of time, moves out of the city and into a remote house in the countryside once her relationship comes to an end. She mulls about the possibility of a fling with the dishy young gamekeeper Rob, who lives in the area, as the locals are pleasant even if they are peculiar. But the events that took place at Harvest Festival make her feel as though she was manipulated, and now, six months later, when the implications are all too clear, she finds herself caught in what is more like a nightmare than a reality.
