Riding the Bullet

Alan Parker (Jackson) is a young artist enrolled at the University of Maine in 1969, when the film takes place. A suicide attempt on his birthday by him is thwarted by his friends and he recovers. He becomes preoccupied with death, fearing he is losing Jessica (Christensen). Hitchhiking to go to the hospital where his mother is being treated for a stroke is his only option.
