A detective is sent to investigate a string of murders. A probable serial killer may be on the loose, as they all occur in the same area and using the same approach, but as the evidence leads toward the detective as the top suspect, a ghost in red pursues him and causes him to doubt his identity. His realization of what appears to have occurred leads in something far more dark and far more pernicious, scarring his psyche.
