Resting Place
In 1972, Rockville, Georgia, is the setting for a television movie. Sergeant Dwyte Johnson's body has been transported here by Major Kendall Laird, a member of the Survival Assistance Corps. For Johnson's parents, Laird is there to assist with the funeral arrangements. Nevertheless, because the deceased hero was black, the town's "all-white" cemetery refuses to bury his parents.
