Prick Up Your Ears
Stephen Frears is in charge of this biographical drama about controversial British playwright Joe Orton, who was killed by his lover Kenneth Halliwell in flashback. John "Joe" Orton was born in Leicester, in the English Midlands, in 1933. He moved to London in 1951 to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). In the 1960s, he and Halliwell lived in their famous Islington flat. Orton, on the other hand, has a lot of success with plays like "What the Butler Saw" and "Loot." Halliwell, on the other hand, starts to feel isolated and the future of the two of them looks more and more uncertain.
