Pépé le Moko
Pépé le Moko, one of the most wanted criminals in France, hides out in Algiers' Casbah neighborhood. He is well aware that if he attempts to flee the city, he will be apprehended by authorities. When Pépé meets Gaby Gould, a beautiful Parisienne who is stranded in the Casbah, he falls in love with her. Additionally, she reminds him of everything he adores about Paris. Pépé contemplates a future with Gaby despite the fact that he is being pursued by Inspector Slimane.
