One Deadly Summer
Spring 1976 sees the arrival of a beautiful young woman, whose German-born mother and her disabled father relocate to the village of a firefighter known as Pin-Pon.. When Eliane walks into a room, she's instantly noticed. A myopic woman, Pin-Pon is the only one who can help her, and she soon finds herself sobbing on his shoulder. She moves in with him, knits baby clothes, and prepares their wedding. Is this a romantic story or just a ruse? On a November night in1955, who delivered the piano to Pin-mother Pon's and aunt in the barn? Is there a connection between her mother's grief, and her father's injury, and this fast marriage and the name on her birth certificate?
