Nowhere in Africa

She is Jettel Redlich, a Jewish woman who flees Nazi Germany with her daughter Regina. She joins her husband on a farm in Kenya, where they work together. At first, Jettel doesn't want to adapt to her new situation, so she brings along a set of china dishes and a dress. While Regina quickly adapts to this new world, she quickly forms a strong bond with her father's cook, an African named Owuor, who cooks for him.
