Indy Zimmerman's life is far from perfect. With a stepmother who appears to make it her life's goal to make Indy's life miserable, stepsisters who want nothing to do with her, and a boy who ruined her life suddenly wanting to be a part of it, life is already difficult. When you add high school, relationships, and tragedy to the mix, things get even worse. When Bryant Bailey, the most popular boy at school, kills her cat, Indy wants nothing to do with him, but he seems determined to be a part of her life, and after all attempts to get rid of him fail, she decides to give him a chance. He may not be her type, but Indy quickly learns that first impressions are often incorrect.
