North West Mounted Police
He goes to Canada in the 1880s to find wanted murderer Jacques Corbeau. He stumbles into the Riel Rebellion, where Métis (people of French and Native descent) and Natives seek their own country. April Logan, Dusty's nurse, is also Mountie Jim Brett's. A fight between the rebels and the Mounties is complicated by April's brother's involvement with Louvette, Courbeau's daughter. Dusty is determined to reunite with Corbeau (and April, too, if he can manage it.)
