Cris Johnson, a stage magician in Las Vegas, has a secret that torments him: he can see a few minutes into the future. Tired of the tests he had to go through as a child and the government and medical establishment's interest in his power, he hides out in Las Vegas under a fake name, where he does cheap tricks and lives off of small-time gambling "winnings." But when a terrorist group threatens to blow up a nuclear device in Los Angeles, government agent Callie Ferris must use all her skills to catch Cris and get him to help her stop the disaster.
