Neighboring Sounds
After the arrival of an independent private security firm in a middle-class neighborhood in Recife, Brazil, life takes an unexpected turn. The presence of these men creates both a sense of safety and a great deal of anxiety in a culture that is based on fear. Meanwhile, Bia, a married mother of two, must deal with her neighbor's dog's constant barking and howling. A slice of 'Braziliana,' a look back at history, violence, and noise.
