Noboru is an unpopular high school student. He admires Miyazaki, a prominent senior student. Momose and Tetsuko are Miyazaki's gal pals. Momose and Tetsuko are very different. Momose is bright, and Tetsuko is a popular wealthy student. Miyazaki meets Momose one day. Miyazaki asks Noboru and Momose to appear to be dating to keep Tetsuko happy. They both agree since they adore Miyazaki. Soon after, Noboru develops affections for Momose, who is still in love with Miyazaki.
