Monsieur Papa
Monsieur Papa is a compelling depiction of a modern family, centered on Marius Vallois, who is 12 years old. Marius is the affluent son of Marie Vallois, a successful CEO. Marius has never known his father and suffers terribly as a result. Marie decides to find Marius a father figure as he begins shoplifting and performing poorly in school. She meets Robert Pique in her office building one day. Robert is an odd man with a finance background who survives by ironing clothing for his neighbors. Robert agrees to be paid to meet Marius and claim to be his father, despite his reservations at first. Marius recognizes that Robert is not his biological father right away, yet they rapidly form a strong bond.
