Mommie Dearest
In this biographical film, Joan Crawford, a glamorous but lonely star, adopts two orphans, and their unconventional family appears to be happy at first. However, after Joan's romantic endeavors fail and she is fired from her contract with MGM studios, her callous and abusive behavior toward her daughter Christina becomes even more pronounced. Christina moves away from home and lands her first acting role, only to discover that her mother's presence continues to overshadow her.
