Miracle in Milan

An old woman once discovered a baby in her cabbage patch. She raises the child, and when she passes away, Toto is placed in an orphanage. Toto is a happy young guy who leaves the orphanage and looks for job in postwar Milan. He meets the destitute and arranges them to create a shanty colony in an empty lot. The squatters discover oil on the ground, and Toto has a vision of the old woman, who grants him a magical dove that will grant him his every want.
