Milada
The true story of Milada Horáková, a communist show trial victim. Czechoslovakia was a communist country at the time of the death of Horáková. She was an outspoken opponent of the communist takeover in1948, yet she refused to go. Her trial was broadcast on the radio and exhibited in film clips, and she was convicted of treason on bogus charges. Although the focus of the film is on the years 1945 to1950, when the communists assumed control, Horáková's life in the late 1930s is briefly explored as well.
