Merry-Go-Round
Mari Pataki, a modest but potential young farmer, resides in a rural setting undergoing challenging transitions. Her father prohibits her from seeing her boyfriend. The father, obsessed mostly with farm work and future money, chooses to marry off his daughter to an elderly but wealthy business associate. He asserts that land weds land. This appears to be the unbending rule of the Hungarian countryside. However, the young lover is willing to face any obstacle in order to retain Maris' affection.
