Memoria
An orchid grower from Scotland who is in Bogotá, Colombia to see her sick sister makes friends with a teenage singer and a French archaeologist who is in charge of overseeing a construction project that will take a century to tunnel through the Andes mountain range. She is deprived of sleep every night because she is kept awake by increasingly loud bangs, which she claims make it impossible for her to fall asleep.
