A young woman from a tiny town is torn between two dead-end jobs. Following an accident, a well-known and accomplished man is confined to a wheelchair. Until the girl is recruited for six months to be his new carer, the man determines that his life is not worth living The two begin their relationship in a shaky manner, as they are entangled in a web of circumstance.
