March Comes in Like a Lion

Rei Kiriyama (Ryunosuke Kamiki) is a shogi (Japanese chess) player of 17 years old. He made his professional shogi debut in middle school. He lives alone in Tokyo because his parents and younger sister were killed in a car accident when he was a child. Rei Kiriyama meets three sisters who happen to be his neighbors one day. Akari, Hinata, and Momo Kawamoto are the three sisters. This is his first meeting with someone outside of the shogi world in many years. Rei Kiriyama enjoys eating with the Kawamoto family. Rei Kiriyama's interactions with his neighbors allow him to grow as a shogi player and as a person as he continues his shogi career.
