Manderlay
In1933, after escaping Dogville, Grace Margaret Mulligan witnesses a slave being disciplined on the Manderlay cotton field. Officially, slavery is prohibited, and Grace defends herself against the farm's owners. She resides with some gangsters in Manderlay and attempts to influence the situation. Grace realizes the social and economic reality of Manderlay, however, when harvest season arrives.
