Man on the Roof

While in the hospital, a police officer is murdered with a bayonet. The investigation team, led by Martin Beck, soon discovers that the man had abused both suspects and bystanders on several occasions, but that any accusations had gone unheeded due to his colleagues' mistaken allegiance. Beck must solve the case swiftly due to the killer's explosive psyche. Otherwise, more people will be harmed.
