Lourdes
Christine is a woman in a wheelchair who has severe multiple sclerosis. To escape her loneliness, she travels to Lourdes, the famous pilgrimage site in the Pyrenees Mountains, alongside other people with varied disabilities. She begins to regain use of her limbs during her stay. This is in contrast to others, who appear to have more faith than Christine but experience only minor, transient improvement. Her other pilgrims are anxious to label it a miracle; however, as the pilgrimage comes to a close, it becomes unclear how accurate this claim is.
