After working her first night shift at an abandoned police station in a Scottish backwater village, Rachel is ready to embark on her first real police career. When the tide has gone out, it leaves a motley crew of the aimless, the forgotten, and the bitter-and-twisted adrift, all of whom believe that they deserve to be somewhere else more than they do right now.
