Legiony
A universal story about becoming an adult in hard times and growing up for the community. In the foreground, a love story is happening between Józek, a deserter from the Tsarist army who joins the Legions, Ola, an intelligence agent for the I Brigade and a member of the Women's League, and Tadek, her fiance and a member of Shooting Team. Aside from fictional characters whose stories were based on the lives of real legionnaires, the movie features a lot of historical figures. Among them were Brigadier Józef Pilsudski, Lieutenant Stanislaw Kaszubski, alias "King," and many others. The movie is about the Legion's battles from 1914 to1916, from when they left Oleandry to when they fought at Kosciuchnowka. It shows the most dramatic parts of the legionary epic, like the famous attack of Uhlans at Rokitna, which is one of the most exciting parts of the movie.
