La Belle Noiseuse
Frenhofer, a once-famous painter, lives quietly with his wife in Provence, France, on their country estate. When the young artist Nicolas and his lover Marianne pay him a visit, Frenhofer decides to resume work on a painting he had previously abandoned: La Belle Noiseuse. He wants Marianne to be his model. The now-beginning creative process alters everyone's lives. It is a struggle for truth, life, and sense, and the question of whether or not the arts are boundless.
