Knight Moves
A chess grandmaster is competing in a major tournament, and when his lover is discovered painted up and her blood drained from her body, he becomes the prime suspect. He cooperates with police and a psychologist to try to catch the killer after receiving a call from the killer urging him to figure out the game, but doubts about the grandmaster's innocence linger as the string of grisly murders continues.
