Morioh, 1999—a town that is ordinarily serene and tranquil has recently become a hub of odd activities. Joutarou Kuujou, a marine biologist by profession, travels to the strange village in order to meet Jousuke Higashikata. While the two may initially appear to be strangers, Jousuke is actually the illegitimate child of Joutarou's grandpa, Joseph Joestar. When they meet, Joutarou finds he may share more than a blood link with Jousuke. The squad, led by the mild-mannered Kouichi Hirose and the raucous Okuyasu Nijimura, is dedicated to researching recent disappearances and other mysterious occurrences in Morioh. With the assistance of Stands, the four men will face peril on every street corner as they attempt to uncover the town's secrets before another tragedy strikes.
