Jan Dara: The Finale

Based on a well-known Thai pornographic novel, the film depicts the tale of Jan, a young boy who grows up in a home ruled by his sadistic and depraved father, Luang Wisnan. The novel is set in the 1930s and tells about Jan's growing pains, whose mother dies giving birth to him and whose father despises him passionately. Jan grows up with Aunt Wad, his stepmother, and he fights to reconcile his guilt and need with many women in his life, including a girl named Hyacinth, whom he adores, and Madame Boonleung, his father's mistress and an important figure in Jan's sexual maturation.
