Jakob the Liar

After being discovered out after curfew in 1944 Poland, a Jewish shopkeeper called Jakob is summoned to ghetto headquarters. Jakob overhears a German radio report regarding Russian force movements while waiting for the German Kommondant. When the shopkeeper returns to the ghetto, he shares his findings with a friend, and rumors begin to circulate that the ghetto contains a hidden radio.
