Ip Man
An narrative that is in part autobiographical of Yip Man, who is credited with being the first person to teach the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun. The events surrounding Ip that took place in the city of Foshan during the 1930s and 1940s, when China was engaged in the Second Sino-Japanese War, serve as the primary subject of the movie. Donnie Yen plays the major role in the movie, which was directed by Wilson Yip and featured fight choreography by Sammo Hung. Wilson Yip was the director of photography for the film.
