Into the Woods
It's an allegory of family, love, growing up, and the grey spaces between right and wrong that Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods weaves together. Timothy Sheader directed this show which was shot live by Digital Stage at London's Regent's Park Open Air theatre. Into the Woods darkens and humourizes the Grimm Brothers' tales. Some of the most popular fairy tales include Red Riding Hood, Jack (from the Beanstalk), Cinderella and Rapunzel. Retelling the classic fairy tale, the familiar characters are thrust into unusual situations, challenging their aspirations and dreams.
