On June7,2014, 45 cyclists from throughout the globe began the inaugural Trans Am Bike Race, which would follow the historic TransAmerica Trail. Their objective is to complete 4,233 miles in a single massive stage race, passing through ten states in an epic transcontinental trip. Inspired To Ride follows a select group of these cyclists as they train, compete, and discover what it's like to ride 300 miles a day on little sleep. They will rely entirely on their athleticism, painstakingly picked equipment, and mental fortitude to complete the race. And to add to the intrigue, they will be self-supported –there will be no crew, no follow cars, and no prize money at the conclusion.
