Inside Deep Throat
"Deep Throat," featuring Linda Lovelace, was shot in a Florida motel in 1972 on a shoestring budget. This picture would go on to become one of the most successful independent films ever made. As self-appointed guardians of public morality sought to repress it, it captured the public imagination and produced a brief future in which sexuality in film had a bold artistic promise. There is a sinister side to mob influence and reports of on set mistreatment of the film's star.
