Inside: A Chinese Horror Story

Cui Kai is a failed writer who is currently unemployed and living in a run-down apartment. When he gets a job offer from a magazine editor to produce a horror series, it's a dream come true. Kai has finally finished the horror series that he had been working on. After its publication, the book becomes an instant success. Kai, on the other hand, is not content with his newfound celebrity. He has written a book that is intrinsically linked to his own life, and every story in it is no exception. A personality disorder affects him as well, and the obese man is in fact another version of himself that he fears. At some point, Kai is able to overcome his dark side and develop a fully realized and wholesome self. Everything Cui Kai developed was a combination of his multiple identities while imprisoned at an asylum.
