A cold and damp breeze blows one sweltering morning as a guy wanders alone in the darkness. Francesco Prencipe, Deputy Police Superintendent, is on his way to see his best friend, Judge Giovanni Mastropaolo, whom he hasn't seen in almost two years. The men drive for two hours with only a few words said. The Judge is found dead later that morning, with a single gunshot wound to his head. Francesco was the last one to see him, and his fingerprints are the only ones discovered in the residence. Is he, however, the assailant?
